Barely almost a year he was elected as chairman’ of Lagos State Football Association,Ogboni Fouad Oki this morning was impeached for gross misconduct by members of extraordinary General Assembly.
Since Oki was elected as Chairman Lagos State Football Association, he had commited several offences which almost affected the development of football in the state.
At the extraordinary General Assembly held early on Saturday, out of 14 members in attendance, 12 voted for impeachment of Oki.
Dr. Osondu Martins Ibegbu, Chairman Badagry Divisional Football Association, moved the motion of impeachment of Oki and seconded by Ikorodu DFA chairman, Alhaji Sonibare Lukman.
Out of 14 delegates, 12 also moved another motion for the Vice Chairman, Alhaji Gafar Liameed Olawale to be installed as the LSFA chairman with immediate effect and the motion was seconded by Mr Felix Adekoya chairman Epe DFA
Dr Osondu Martins Ibegbu also moved the third motion for Mr Fouad Oki to be banned from football related matters for life and the motion was seconded by Mr Danny Nazal of DANNAZ FC
Among the delegates in attendance are Badagry DFA, Ikeja DFA, Ikorodu DFA, Epe DFA, Lagos DFA, FC Racine, FC Robo Queens, Dannaz Ladies FC, Unification FC, Lagos State Referees Council, Dosu Joseph FC, Youngstars FC.
Joy Comet and Lagos Football Coaches Association are the only delegates that absent from the Lagos State Football Association Extraordinary General Assembly. All present 12 delegates voted for Oki to be impeached.
Also, in attendance from Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are Felix Anyansi, the 1st Vice Chairman of the NFF, Ali Sanni, Head of Associations, NFF and Aisha Falode.
