In preparation for the 2026 Lagos State Football Coaches Elections, Chairman of Lagos State Football Coaches Electoral Committee,Lanre Olojo-Kosoko has released 13 names that are eligible to contest for the elective positions into the state executive body.
The much anticipated elections would hold on August 8 at the venue yet to be announced by the electoral committee.
After thorough screening and verification of the documentations of all the aspirants by the committee, 13 aspirants were fully screened,cleared and eligible to contest for the positions of the executive seats comes on August,8,2026.
The names are following: David Apelete Dosu contesting for chairman seat,Adeleke Ibiyemi contesting for first vice chairman,Uche Elendu Eke contesting for second vice chairman.Abel Sohe contesting for welfare/social secretary,Akinmoyo Victor contesting for financial secretary.
Two strong aspirants would battle for position of Training officer seat.The two aspirants are Fatai Akande and Salau Rauf Abiodun.
Others are Musbau Oseni contesting for secretary.Babalola Issa contesting for Assistant secretary,Bagbe Micheal contesting for PRO, Savage Oluwaseun contesting for Assistant Training Officer,while Ajayi Adekunle contesting for Treasurer as Olorumbe Rafiu contesting for provost.
Olojo-Kosoko said the screening process was thorough and fair and commended his committee members for working round the clock to ensure that the screening process recorded a huge success.
He also congratulated all the aspirants for complying with the electoral guidelines and wishing all the aspirants best of luck in their campaigns.
He however admonished all the aspirants to follow the electoral guidelines and they should not see this forthcoming elections a do or die affairs.
“Our mandate by Central Working Committee of our great Association in the state is to conduct free and fair elections and give all the aspirants level playing ground which we have done for all the aspirants.
“I am delighted to announce to the football coaches in Lagos that we electoral committee are making progress on the mandate given to us and we are fully ready to conduct free and fair elections without fear or favour.
“Conerning the venue of elections, the committee is working hard to get a suitable and conducive environment for all the stakeholders that would attend our elections.Thank you once again for your support, understanding and prayers,”he concluded.
