Ekiti State’s Rising Basketball Teenager, Daramola Taiwo Wins American Scholarship

One of Nigeria’s fastest rising basketball teenagers from Ekiti State, southwest Nigeria, Daramola Taiwo, has won one of the most coveted academic scholarships in the United States of America.

The scholarship covers both Taiwo’s academic and career. The young promising basketball will continue his studies together with his basketball career in the United States of America.

The U-15 basketballer hails from Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State Nigeria.

Meanwhile, Prophet James Omitade of the Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church, Ikere Road, Ado Ekiti has advised Daramola he sponsored to USA to bring glory back to Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement by the prophet in Ado Ekiti.

He said:”The word of God enjoins us to help lift one another’s burden especially if we see that such help will lead him or her out of the woods. In any case two years ago, the spirit of the lord led me to secure a coach for Taiwo Daramola to help him gain basketball skill.

“As God will have it, it was consummated on Thursday when he left the shores of the country Nigeria to California, USA where he joined the rest of his American colleagues in playing in a tournament on Saturday where he will continue his education.

“I appreciate the faithful that gave me the link that led to this success, God bless you in all your endeavors.

“I pray that his stay there will bring honour to Ijan Ekiti which is my hometown and that of his father’s Mr Daramola Boboye and bring glory to the country and inspire young people in our church Holy Trinity Authority Prophetic Church Int’l and in our society to brace up for greatness.”
