A Lagos-base well known football coach,Abiodun Rafiu Salau has urged the delegates of all 23 football Coaches council in the state to vote for him in the forthcoming Lagos State Football Coaches Elections scheduled to hold on Saturday at the venue yet to be announced by the Lagos State Football Coaches Association Electoral Committee headed by Lanre Olojo-Kosoko
Salau who is contesting for the position of Training Officer explained that he is coming out to make a changes in the state association saying that he is not for anybody but he is for everybody.
He disclosed that if he elected as Training Officer,he would organise a regular coaching seminars and workshops.The Founder of Fusion Football Championship disclosed that he would create more opportunities for coaches to earn coaching certifications and partner with local and international football organizations for coach development.
Salau also said if elected as Training Officer, he would promote grassroots football and talent identification and ensure every coach has access to quality training and professional growth.
“The future of our association depends on continuous learning, quality training, strong leadership, and equal opportunities for every coach. I am presenting myself for the office of Training Officer because I have dedicated my life to education, football development, coach training, and leadership.
“My background in Human Resources and Personnel Management has equipped me with the skills to manage people effectively, resolve conflicts, develop talent, and build a united coaching community.
“My Vision as Training Officer
If elected, I will work tirelessly to organize regular coaching seminars and workshops.Introduce modern football education and performance analysis.Create more opportunities for coaches to earn coaching certifications and partner with local and international football organizations for coach development.
“However I would also promote grassroots football and talent identification and ensure every coach has access to quality training and professional growth as well as foster unity, professionalism, and continuous learning within our association.
“A Vote for progress leadership is measured by service, vision, competence, and the ability to inspire others. I possess the knowledge, experience, leadership qualities, and passion required to serve effectively as your Training Officer.Together, we can build a stronger, more united, and professionally respected Lagos State Football Coaches Association,”said Salau who disclosed he had been pressurised by some people to step down before the Elections day.
Meanwhile, Salau would face Fatai Akande in the position of Training Officers while there is no contest in other positions of state executive seats.
