More than 300 players across the country were in attendance at the screening exercise of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club which began on Monday at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos Island.
The screening exercise which started on Monday saw players within the age 16 to 18 in action as coaching crew led by french Coach, Bilal Sousdi expressed satisfaction with some players who gave account of themselves.
Speaking on the screening exercise team manager of the Lagos based travelled team, Eletu Muftau popularly known as Junior said the screening exercise is very necessary to fortify the team ahead of the future club engagements.
He said the club has two categories and there are needs to bring fresh legs so that there would be competitive in all the department of the team.
Asked if he was satisfied with the new players that are taking part in the screening exercise, Eletu said there are some players that coaching crew were pencilled down while some players played below club expectations.
“We have seen more than 300 players from far and near who come to our screening exercise and so far so good, some of them did well while some did not meet club expectations.The final screening would come on Friday at Eagles club where chief coach would address the media on the number of players shortlisted and other programmes for the club,”he said.
Some of the players who spoke to our correspondent said they were satisfied with the venue of the screening and commended the team management for giving them the opportunity to showcase their hidden talents
Meanwhile the screening exercise continue today and it would end on Friday at the Eagles Club, Surulere.
