Officials of Lagos based club, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club have expressed their satisfaction with the team’s preparation ahead of Nationwide League One U-19 Youth League scheduled to commence later in this month.
Some of the officials of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC disclosed this after their team played 1-1 draw with Real Sapphire FC in a friendly match played on Wednesday at their opponents football pitch,Epe, Lagos.
Head Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu FC,Isreal Adegolu said his boys are getting better and their performance against Real Sapphire boys and recent friendly matches indicated that they are ready for the league.
He said his team are in good shape but noted that he still needs to work on some grey areas identified as team’s weaknesses before their league match.
“Presently the boys are getting better in each friendly match and our performance today (Wednesday) against Real Sapphire boys is the best so far.I am happy that the boys are playing better and there is still room for improvement before our league match,”said Adegolu who urged the players to remain focused and steadfast in their subsequent friendlies.
In his own comment, General manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu, Eletu Muftau described his present Eletu boys very determined, disciplined and hungry for success.
He noted a tremendous improvement in the team from their last recent matches and commended the coaching crew and players for the job well done.
“Honestly the boys are in good shape and ready for the future challenges.I have watched couple of their matches including their recent scouting programmes and they have done well,”he said.
Asked if Eletu boys are ready for the league, Muftau boasted that the boys are in good frame of mind and ready to play the league.
He however reminded the players not to be carried away with their recent performance saying that any player plays below expectation would not be part of the team.
Sharing the same sentiment, team manager of the club, Olalekan Job commended the efforts of the players in the recent friendly matches saying that the team have what it takes to go far in the NLO U-19 Youth League.
Meanwhile in friendly match played against Real Sapphire, Eletu boys were good to watch, dominated the ball possession and their effort was rewarded when Jude Obasi scored through free kick in the early second half.
Eletu boys who were very impressive in the encounter lost a penalty kick in the first half through Abraham Chiwetalu.
The home team also gave a good account of themselves as they struggled in the pulsating tie before Ibrahim Joshua got the equaliser at the close range.
One of the players who caught the attention of the fans was the Eletu goalie,Oba Surajudeen who made some saves in both halves.
Real Sapphire who are in NLO did everything to win the encounter but Eletu goalie and players were tactically discipline in an highly entertained match and ended the game in stalemate.
