Agege Football Coaches Council has hailed the appointment of Coach Raymond Akaluogbo as Acting Chairman of Lagos State Football Coaches Association, LSFCA.
Akaluogbo was appointed by the Central Working Committee (CWC) of the LSFCA recently to pilot the affairs of the body following the suspension of former Chairman,Tairu Hassan and his secretary, Rasheed Sulaiman.
Leader of Agege Football Coaches Council, Olumide Ajayi has described the appointment of Coach Akaluogbo awell deserved one and urged him to ensure that the body returns to the past glory.
“On behalf of Agege Football Coaches Council, I congratulate Coach Akaluogbo on his appointment. We Agege Football Coaches Council members are happy and rejoiced with the newly appointed acting chairman and I wish him best of luck in the new assignment,”he said.
Ajayi in his congratulatory message urged football coaches in Lagos to remain focused and support Coach Akaluogbo to succeed on the job.
He described the challenges facing the body unfortunate and called the football councils in the state to be united and ensure that the body comes back strong and better.
“It is unfortunate that the Lagos State Football Coaches Association is stagnant for many years without meaningful progress.The CWC has taken it upon itself to act on both state and national constitutions and I am happy that there is new dawn in the state body now with the appointment of acting chairman, Coach Akaluogbo,”he said.
