Nigeria early on Wednesday recorded more medals in weightlifting and cricket at the ongoing African Games taking place in Ghana.
The two weightlifters, Desmond Akano won silver medal in 96kg, while Sunday Abayomi clinched bronze medal in 102kg.
On Tuesday Nigeria weightlifters, Ruth Ayodele and Joy Eze won three gold medals in their 64kg and 71kg classes respectively.
Similarly Nigeria female cricket have won their third place match against Uganda female cricket team to clinch bronze medal.
Meanwhile it was not a good outing for Nigerian Judokas Wednesday morning as Taiye Aremu and other Judokas could not get to the medal zone.
