Aare Tomori Williamns Cup Finals: Young Talents, Fortune Academy Win In Lagos

Young Talents Queens retained its title after defeating Aseyori Queens Football to emerge as champions of the 6th edition of Aare Tomori Williamns Football Competition.

The much anticipated final which was held on Sunday at the Campos sports center, Lagos Island saw Young Talents defeated Aseyori 3-1 to win the female category.

In the male category, Fortune Academy humbled Olaleye FC 3-2 to emerge as champions.The pulsating finals were watched by cup donor, Aare Tomori Williamns, invited guests and some royal fathers in attendance.

Reacting to the finals, the cup donor expressed gratitude to God for the success of the competition and pledged his support for continued sponsorship.

“I am impressed with the attendance and organisation of the closing ceremony.I congratulate the Champions for the job well done and commended the organising commiittee led by Lateef Ogunfowora for their commitment throughout the tournament,”he said.

Speaking in the same vein, Ogunfowora said the competition had live up to expectations in terms of organisation and officiating saying that the finalists played well and noted that the best team emerged as champions.

During the presentation, trophies, prize money and medals were given to the champions as well as first runner up, while outstanding players received gift items for their outstanding performances.
