Words of advice have been given to players and coaching crew of Chekas United feeders to respect all their opponents in the ongoing Lagos State League and other opponents in the future football competitions in the state.
This was disclosed by Chairman of Chekas United feeders Football Club,Chekwube Uzoegbo while addressing the players and coaching crew recently ahead of their next match against Power of De Cross FC in the ongoing Lagos State League scheduled for Friday by 8am at Volks sports Center, Badagry Express Road, Iyana-Iba, Lagos.
Chekas feeders played goalless draw with Power of De Cross at away in the first stanza of the league and the return leg would hold on Friday at Chekas feeders home.
Commenting ahead of Friday match, Uzoegbo confessed that their match against Power Of De Cross FC would be a tough one and advised his players to remain focused and respect their opponents in the encounter.
“When we went to their home, it was not an easy match for us. Power Of De Cross played well and gave us tough game. I expect such performance to repeate itself on Friday.My players and coaching crew should respect them and prepare for another tough battle. Both teams are a good side in the league and I want my players to remain calm, focused and play according to instructions of their coaches, “he said.
Responding, Chekas feeders Coach, Richard Nwosu thanked the club boss for his fatherly advice and promised him that his team would not disappoint him.
He explained that his boys are aware of the challenges ahead and they would do everything to give their best in subsequent matches.
He however admitted the weakness of the team which has been rectified in the training session and assuring the fans and management staff a good outing against Power of De Cross FC comes Friday.
