Prince Kazeem Eletu started their Mega Scouting football tournament campaign in a bright start following 2-1 victory recorded against Luba FC on Tuesday morning at Inspire Stadium,Oshodi Cappa, Lagos
Jude Obasi gave a good account of himself when he opened the goal scoring for Eletu boys in the early encounter.The opponents quickly cancelled the goal deficit before the half time.
The second half witnessed high intensity as both teams displayed football artistry and missed some scoring chances in the encounter watched by mammoth crowd.
Eletu who came to the tournament unbeaten run in their last three matches scored the winning goal when Obasi fired a short from the outside box eighteen to give Prince Kazeem Eletu a bright start.
Prince Kazeem Eletu would face 36 Lion in their next match on Wednesday by 9am promises to be another tough match for Eletu boys.
Reaction to the victory against Luba FC, Isreal Adegolu expressed his satisfaction with the outcome of the match but not too impressed with the performance of some players in the team.
“We started well in terms of result.We were able to win our first game which is good for the psychological aspect of the players.They would face 36 Lion on Wednesday with the mindset of winning which it would really help us.
“Having said this,I am not too pleased with the performance of some players in the team.I expected some of them to play better than what I saw today but the corrections would be made in the camp before our next game,”he said.
In his own remark, General manager of Prince Kazeem Eletu,Muftau Eletu said it was a good start for the club and commended them for maintaining unbeaten run since they resumed training six weeks ago.
He however thanked the organisers of the scouting programme for the opportunity given his team to be part of the selected eight teams participated in the Mega Scouting football tournament noted that the programme would expose the young players to market themselves in the presence of of football scouts from Sweden and Turkey throughout the next three days.
