Organisers have announced eight teams that will be involved in the forthcoming six edition of football tournament tagged “Except The Lord Cup”
Teams expected are Balo FC, Potential FC, Avengers FC, Mbah Logistic FC, Sansan Boys FC, Bucknor FC, Taky Flex PRO FC and Fackson FC.
The much anticipated ‘Except The Lord Cup’ would hold on 17th February, 2026 at the Seamoriow Sports Complex, Abaranje Road, Ikotun, Lagos.
The one day football event is put together by Igando- Ikotun LCDA Football Association led by football enthusiast,Seun Ogunwo popularly known as Except The Lord.
Ogunwo in a chat with our correspondent said the one day gala night football show is designed to promote football development in Ikotun and its environs.
He said football is a popular sport in Nigeria saying that there is need to engage the.youhs through round leather game and urged them to see the tournament a friendly match not a do or die affairs.
“Many club owners have been calling us but we have already selected eight teams that have football pedigree in Alimosho.We are set for the the tournament and we wish all the teams best of luck in their outings,”he said.
He however disclosed that winners would go home with trophy as other participating teams would be rewarded with gift items.
