Head Coach of Ahudiyannem Queens, Ann Chejine has commended his players for their impressive performance following their barren draw against Rivers Angels in a friendly match held on Monday at the Umuahia Stadium,Abia State.
The friendly match was organised to prepare both teams ahead of 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League,NWFL sheduled to commence on 26,November across designated centres.
The Abian side would begin their week one campaign against Remo Queens at Umuahia Township Stadium.
Ahudiyannem girls came to the match with full determination,showed resilience and skills that really sent a strong warnings to their opponents in the forthcoming league.
During the fierce battle,Ahudiyannem threatened defence of their oppoennets,created many scoring chances but failed to convert it during the encounter watched by club officials and mammoth crowd at the stadium.
Commenting on the match,Chiejine said she was quite satisfied with the approach of her girls against Rivers Angels noted that her team are making steady progress ahead of the new season.
“It was a tough match for us but i like how my girls approached their opponents with vigour and determination.I need to commend their efforts and they can still do better in our subsequent friendlies.
“However, I still need to strenghten the attack and work in some grey areas before the league kicks off.Of course we are making progress and the girls are in good shape ahead of the league,”she said.
Ahudiyannem Queens would also play Ibom Queens in days to come to continue their preparation ahead of the new season.
