Following the 1-1 recorded against Team360 Football Club on Tuesday in the ongoing week 11 of the Lagos State League at the FIFA legacy pitch, Chairman of Chekas United Feeders, Chekwube Uzoegbo, said the race for Super Four is still open in the Atlantic Conference group.
Before Tuesday’s game, Chekas United Feeders are currently top of their group with 18 points. Having played ten matches, won five, drawn three and lost two, while Young Strikers, who occupy second position, also have 18 points, having played ten matches, won six, drawn nothing and lost four.
Bucknor are occupied third position with 16 points, having played ten matches, won four, drawn four and lost two.
Uzoegbo, while reacting to the match against Team360, he explained that his club is yet to qualify for the Super Four, saying that other teams’ results would determine if his team would qualify or not.
“We are not yet qualified for the Super Four. Although we achieved a point against our opponents, which is a fair result, I need to see the other team’s results before commenting on qualification for the Super Four.
“I am aware that two teams would qualify in each group for the super four, so only two teams would emerge in our group, and we have the other three teams that have an equal chance to pick the two tickets, so the group is still open for all four teams,” he said.
Meanwhile, Bucknor would be at home against Heritage on Wednesday’s afternoon, while Lekki Junior Strikers welcome Young Strikers on Friday afternoon.
