Super Eagles players led by the immediate winner of the CAF most prestigious award for men Victor Osimhen, on Monday celebrated Ademola Lookman’s emergence as the latest winner of the CAF award.
This is the first time the team are meeting in Nigeria since after winning the most prestigious award and Osimhen and his teammates deemed it fit to celebrate Lookman.
The celebration was marked with Lookman cutting the cake during dinner in Uyo with all other players seated to watch the event.
Osimhen who addressed Lookman and other players thanked Lookman for his commitment to the team and for also considering playing for Nigeria.
“First of all, we all know Lookman deserves this because of his performance for the club and the Super Eagles”. “It is also good privilege that this award which came to Nigeria came to the most deserved person”
“I am proud of you, we speak in private most times and I tell you how proud I am. You decided to play for Super Eagles and your hard work and dedication shows that you deserve to be the African best, and I hope it also comes to other Nigeria players, like Boniface and Samuel.
Appreciating his teammates for the gesture, Lookman thanked all for their support and love saying he would not have been able to achieve anything without their push.
