The National Executive Council of the Imo State University Alumni Association (IMSUAA), on Thursday March, 13, 2025, rose from an emergency executive meeting and constituted two different committees to kick start the planning of her National Convention and the IMSUAA Health Insurance Scheme.
This development is contained in a statement released on Tuesday by IMSUAA Publicity Secretary, Sinikiem Ayoko, on the IMSUAA official platform. The statement further added that the National Convention Planning Committee (NCPC) and IMSUAA Health Insurance Scheme Committee (IHIC) have been tasked on delivery ahead of the goals set for them by the alumni.
The National Convention Planning Committee will be led by Mrs. Daphine Amanze, while Dennis Amah, Sinikiem Ayoko, Saran Ifeoma Oguike, Ogechi Obinna Ibeh, Dr. Oby Ozigbo and all Director of Socials of the various state chapters shall be members of the Committee. The duo of Onyekachi Oha and Dr. Majesty Duru shall be advisers
The committee which has the mandate to plan, design and execute the next Convention/Homecoming & AGM of the Alumni in Owerri, Imo State which holds from 14th to 17th August, 2025 will have Onyekachi Oha and Dr. Majesty Duru as advisers.
On the other hand, the IMSUAA Health Insurance Committee (IHIC) will have Onyekachi Oha as Chairman, Chikodi Nwamkpa-Secretary, while Ogechi Obinna Ibeh, Anslem Achunine, Ukwomba Solomon and Dr. Monde Caleb Chidiadi are members of the committee.
The IHIC has a mandate to fashion out a workable process for the actualization of the long-awaited Health Insurance Scheme whose template was designed about five years ago.
The two committees are part of the channels through which the President of IMSUAA, Dr. Charles Nwosu, hopes to actualize the goals which he set in line with the promises he made during his campaign
