Participating teams are looking forward to the the much anticipated draw ceremony of Ramadan football tournament tagged’Ramadan Cup’ which holds 3, March,2025, Monday by 3pm at the Sansan playground, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
No fewer than 24 teams are expected to feature in the tournament which begins 7, March,2025 across four centres in Lagos and Ogun States.
The venues in Lagos are Igando and Ejigbo centres. The Ogun centres are Igbesa and Ejigun.
Match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said all the interested clubs are ready for the draws but noted that only the clubs that are fully completed their registration fees would be allowed to participate.
“We are going to hold the draws on Monday and I have informed teams that are concerned.Presently we have some clubs that are completed their registration fees while some clubs are yet to make any payment.
“We still have more clubs to accommodate before our draws and only the clubs that have completed their registration fees would be allowed to involve in Ramadan Cup,”he said.
Some of the interested clubs are Keep Fit FC, Wolves FC,Seadorf FC, defending champions, Future Stars 99, Sharp Strikers, Supreme FC,White Soccer Temple, Sterling FC and New Resolution FC.
Others are Future Hero,Pakos FC, Absolute FC,Bora FC Sansan Boys, Rising Stars and Bucknor FC.
Asked about the prize money for the winners, Gbadamosi disclosed that a champions would go home with the sum of N250,000 with a giant trophy, while first runner up would pocket N100,000.
He, however, disclosed that the finalists would be kitted with the brand new Jersey and other consolatory items would be given to the outstanding players.
