Chekas United Football Club of Amuwo-Odofin and Angels Football Club of Mushin would clash on Thursday by 8am in the round of 24 in the ongoing Rising Star Football League
The two clubs owned by Hon Uzoegbo Chekwube and this is the first time two teams owned by a person would meet in the high profile football competition.
Although Angels FC won three trophies this outgoing year, they would want to leverage on their recent achievements to outclass their opponents when both teams clash Thursday at the Nathaniel Idowu Sports center, Ajegunle, Lagos.
On the other hands Chekas United also performed well at the last Badagry Divisional League and only for them to suffer a defeat in the final against Young Stars (Osahon boys)
The match has been tagged “Brothers At War” as both teams would play with all seriousness.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s clash, Uzoegbo said he is not in support of any team and wished both teams all the best in their outing.
“Of course, I am the owner of the two clubs and unfortunately they are meeting in a competition of this magnitude. What can I say than to wish both of them best of luck. Let it be known to our fans that I am not in support of any team but I support both teams in Thursday’s game,” he said.
