Chairman of Liam’s Height Sports Academy of OJO LAGOS, Azenabor Williams Christopher has expressed satisfaction after his team played 1-1 draw against Hazilan Football Academy in a friendly match played recently at the Nigerian Navy Ultra modern Sports Complex, Alakija, Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.
The six months old academy, Liam’s Height Sports Academy used the friendly match to assess the players in the academy and prepare them for the future football tournaments.
Azenabor while chatting with our correspondent after the game said he was pleased and satisfied with the performance of his boys saying that there is significant improvement in the club since inception.
“I was really pleased with the outcome of the match because my boys played to instruction and full of confidence, we first scored our opponents in their home ground through John Alexander unfortunately the game ended in draw which was not too bad for a club that just started Six months ago,”he said.
Azenabor who is also the founder of the academy said his academy is ready to play more friendly matches before this year runs out and admonished his players to remain committed and dedicated to the academy in subsequent friendly matches.
He however revealed that the academy lack sponsor and called on sport philanthropists, corporate bodies and soccer loving Nigerians to partner with them so that the academy can be ranked among one of the best academies in the state in terms of organisation and management.
“The academy is not well known for now because we just started but I must say that this academy has a structure and has disciplined players who are ready to give their best.
“Having said this, I will like people to know that the Academy is also open to sponsorship and partners from individuals, cooperate organizations, government and companies so that we can make our players achieve their dreams come true,” he said.
