Super Falcons Captain, Raheedat Ajibade through her foundation has sponsored 11 Coaches for the 3rd batch of NIS/LSFA Coaching Certification Course.
Secretary of Lagos State Football Association LSFA, Okikioposu-Rabiu Akeem confirmed this to our correspondent on Monday morning that Ajibade whomis currently playing for Athletico Madrid of Spain had paid for 11 coaches that would be part of the 3rd batch of the NIS/LSFA Coaching Certification Course.
“I am pleased to inform our football coaches and other football stakeholders in the state that Captain of Super Falcons through her foundation has shown love to our coaches by sponsoring eleven of them for the Coaching Certification Course and her foundation has paid the money into LSFA account.
“Additionally, she has also pledged to always give back to the society and urged the Lagos FA to try as much as possible to give adequate information on future programmes so that her Foundation can be part of it,”he said.
Akeem however said the state football ruling body would welcome other sports philanthropists and football stakeholders who want to follow suit by sponsoring coaches of their choices to NIS/LSFA Coaching Certification Course.
Responding to the philanthropic gesture of Ajibade, the Chairman of Lagos State Football Association, Hajji Gafar Liameed, expressed his gratitude to the former Robo star for extending her love and support to the coaches, and giving the lucky coaches the opportunity to further improve their knowledge of the game and also get the necessary certification to operate as licensed coaches.
Gafar went ahead to rally well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations to key into the several programmes and activities of the LSFA, as it continues to rejig and develop football in the state.
