As part of their continued effort towards Human Empowerment, Capacity building and Community/Environmental Enhancement, the Lagos Women Run initiator, Ms Temitayo Kuburat Popoola has since embarked on some serious projects to help actualize her 2024 Lagos Women Run dream.
One of which is the rehabilitation of the Salvation Army Nursery and Primary School, Okobaba, Ebute Metta East, Yaba, Lagos where school uniforms were bought and sown for pupils and classroom blackboards changed and replaced with white marker boards to suit the modern day societal practices.
Trilled by the this unexpected and unannounced gestures of the Lagos women Run at this time, the over excited Principal of the School Mrs Tinubu Faosat Abimbola, thanked and praised the Lagos Women Run Coordinator, Ms Temitayo Kuburat Popoola for her kind gesture and pray that the Almighty God replenishes her pockets in million folds.
According to her, the ongoing renovation of the school classroom blackboards and sowing school uniforms for the pupils of the school by an individual at this hard time of Nigerian economy was least expected more so when one considers where the Salvation Army Nursery and Primary School is located.
