Organisers of the third edition of Anjolani Biz Football Competition have said loud and clear that only 11 teams are needed to participate in the much-anticipated football tourney tagged ‘Anjolani Biz Cup’
A total of 24 teams are expected to feature in the tourney which kicks off 27 August at the NUD playground, Ifo, Ogun state.
Tournament coordinator, Adewale Saheed Babalola confirmed that only 13 teams have completed their registration forms, saying that the organisers still need more entries to complete the 24 teams that would begin the hostility in the next few weeks.
“Presently we need 11 teams to fill the remaining entries. Our registration form is N50,000 and I commend the teams that have registered with us. This is the third edition, and we are planning to organise it better in areas of officiating, media and publicity, prize money and awards to the distinguished players and coaches in the tournament,” he said.
Babalola disclosed that winners would go home with the sum of N500,000 with a giant trophy, while first runner up would pocket the sum off N300,000 as outstanding players would be presented gift items and cash prize for the job well done.
He also revealed that the aim of the competition is to keep the teams busy and promote grassroots football development in Ifo and its environs.
He, however, urged the interested club owners to come for their registration forms before next week Tuesday and noted that there is no room for late registrations.
