32 Teams Set For Odofin Erujeje Football Tourney In Ikorodu

No fewer than 32 teams are expected to feature for the inaugural edition of Odofin Erujeje football tournament sheduled to kick off on 3 September at the Police Barrack playground, Igbogbo, Ikorodu.

Tournament cordinator, Ogunbunmi Abolore confirmed that all the 32 teams are fully prepared for the much anticipated tourney.

He also revealed that the draw ceremony of the competition would hold this friday at the Odofin palace and commended the participating teams for completing their registration forms.

“We are set for the draws and it is going to be a carnival draw ceremony because we are organising this tournament for the first time in Ikorodu and we want to make it a memorable event starting from the draw till closing ceremony,”he said.

Abolore said the tourney is being sponsored by Chief Ogunsanya Adewunmi,(SAN) the Odofin of Ikorodu Kingdom as a way of contributing his own quota to the grassroots football development in Ikorodu and its environs.

He disclosed that the prize money for the winners and outstanding players would be announced at the draw ceremony.
