After losing to Mandarin Football Club of Lekki 3-2 last week, Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club on Thursday were on rampage as they demolished Bucknor Football Club of Igando 5-1 in a friendly match played at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena formally known as Onikan Stadium.
Eletu who were not at their best in the last three friendly matches on Thursday lived up to expectations in their performance.
Both teams came to the game with a lot of expectations.Although Bucknor had the opportunity to take the early lead but failed to convert their chances.
Having played for 32nd minutes, Raymond Oboh opened the goal account for Eletu. The goal spurred Eletu to increase the tempo of the game which saw Joseph Peace scored the second goal before the referee signaled for the half time.
Oboh fondly called by his teammates Papa did not waste time to make it third goal in the 54th minutes. Bucknor on the other hand got a deserved penalty in the 62th minutes and was quickly converted by John Ekong.
Eletu who gave a good account of themselves could not stop scoring as Chinedu Emmanuel scored his goal at the close range to make it fourth goal.
The encounter who was watched by officials of both teams saw Oboh who was adjudged as a man of the match scored the fifth goal for Eletu to condemn their opponents to total dedeat.
Oboh who was excited about his teammates performance and scoreline told our correspondent that they were on rampaged because of their poor run in the last three games saying that the victory was well deserved.
He said having scored three goals would spur him to play better in the subsequent matches and commended his teammates for the job well done.
“It was a good match for us. We won and we played better than our previous matches. I commend the coaching crew and my teammates for this resounding victory, and we promise that our next match would be much better,” he said.
Bucknor Coaches, Mariv Aguele and Ajibola Ajibade admitted that their opponents were technically better and blamed their boys for not converting their scoring chances at the beginning of the encounter.
