The Nigeria Customs men basketball team Tuesday night defeated the Directorate of State Service (DSS) by 101-68 points on the opening day of the second edition of the Armed Forces and other Security Agencies championship at the Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola international stadium, Abuja.
Inspired by the presence of it’s Comptroller General Bashir Adewale Adeniyi who was on ground to cheer his men, the Border Men opened 16 points advantage at the close of the first half 51-35 (28-18, 23-17).
Efforts by the Nigerian secret Police (DSS) to fight back in the third quarter could only yield a tie as both sides ended the quarter by 23 points apiece.
Customs however proved too strong for their opponent as they easily won the fourth quarter by 27-10 points to close out the game.
