A group of young Nigerians under the aegis of Young Professionals For Tinubu (YP4T), last Friday in Lagos, put smiles on the faces of hundreds of widows, as they donated food items and other gifts to the needy and particularly, widows.
The event which was one of the several life impacting activities of the group held across different parts of Nigeria, took place at the Nigeria Police Barracks, Ikeja, Lagos, to the delight of the obviously joyous and grateful recipients, who could not stop singing and dancing in appreciation of the gifts.
Speaking with journalists at the event, National Coordinator of YP4T, Hon. John CDO Ikeotuonye, said the donations by the group is one of its several impactful programmes taking place across different cities in Nigeria.
He added that it’s in line with the policies of President Bola Tinubu’s government. Which is aimed at refreshing the hopes of the people in a better Nigeria.
“We’re strong supporters President Bola Tinubu’s mandate. Therefore, in the spirit of the yuletide, we’ve come to celebrate with the indigent women, particularly, the widows and to tell them that they are not alone.
“This show of love, definitely aligns with the policies of this government. At YP4T, we shall continue with our humanitarian activities and programmes to the benefits of Nigeria,” Ikeotuonye added.
