Super Falconets’ new head coach, Moses Aduku, has shunned the women’s league most valuable player for the 2024/25 season Janet Seimenya, who recently moved to the champions of the Nigeria women’s league, Bayelsa Queens.
Janet Akekeromowei, who is currently 17 years old, formerly a player of Nasarawa Amazons, was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership season.
She also won the MVP award at the NWFL Premiership Super Six tournament.

She was the second-highest goal scorer in the league and also contributed significantly to Nasarawa Amazons’ run to the final of the President Federation Cup 2025.
With her impressive goal-scoring record and MVP title, Janet is considered a rising star in the Nigerian women’s football.
She recently joined Bayelsa Queens.
Aduku has invited 35 players to the camp of the Nigeria U-20 girls, Falconets, to kick off preparations for next month’s 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifying fixture against their Rwandan counterparts.
The Rwandans will host the first leg of the second-round games in Kigali on Sunday, 21st September, with the return leg scheduled for the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan on Saturday, 27th September.
Stakeholders in the Nigerian women’s football are wondering why a coach who is determined for a good result in the World Cup qualifying series would overlook such a player in this crucial period?
Next year’s FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup finals will be staged in Poland.
