Proprietor of Usefulyouth Soccer Academy based in Alimosho,Lagos, Oyebode Olufemi Ojo has announced
the temporary disengagement of selected players who have been granted permission to pursue trial opportunities with higher-tier teams and professional clubs.
Ojo in a statement said the management has issued a letters of disengagement to some players who have been invited for trials to some clubs in Nationwide League One, NLO teams and other high profile teams in Lagos and outside the state.
“I have given some players temporary disengagement letters who have been invited by some NLO teams and high profile clubs for trials and we are happy to do so because our job is appreciated by some clubs within and outside the state,”said Ojo who is delighted to see his players starting their professional careers from home front.
Ojo who doubles as Chief Coach of the academy stated in the statement that the decision is aligned with the team’s objectives and mission to develop talented players and provide them with pathways to advance their football careers on national and international platforms.
He added that the Usefulyouth Soccer Academy believes in nurturing potential and preparing players for opportunities to compete at the highest levels.
“We are excited for our players as they take this bold step toward realizing their dreams. Their hard work, dedication, and exceptional talent have brought them this far, and we are confident they will make us proud wherever they go,” he said.
Ojo however clarified that the disengagement of some players for trials in another club is temporary saying that those who fail to be selected in trials are allowed to return to the academy.
“Of course we are going to miss these players who are leaving us for trials with another club but we remain committed to supporting their growth and providing any necessary assistance to help them succeed during this pivotal moment in their careers.
“Usefulyouth Soccer Academy remains steadfast in its mission to develop world-class players and looks forward to celebrating the achievements of our alumni as they move on to greater opportunities,”the statement reads.
Meanwhile a total of 14 players in Usefulyouth Soccer Academy have been received letters of disengagement namely Emmanuel Amusan (Center Back) Adelakun Peters (LB/RB)Kelani Amin (Attacking Midfield) Adeyemo Peter (Defensive Midfield) Akinwunmi Olajide (Attacking Midfield) Ogunniyi Boluwatife (CF) Nwaru Paul (Winger) and Alexander Goodness (RB)
Others are Arinze Ibekwe (Winger) Ihesuilo Fortune (CB) Nkem Sunday (OK) Kareem Oluwaseyi (GK) Elijah Ibeh (Winger) and Oyebanji Michael (CF)
