After Honour Ladies Football Club of Oshodi suffered home defeat in the week one of WAFA League, coach Daniel Ibezim said he was not worried about team’s loss saying that his girls would bounce back in their next match.
Honour Ladies lost 0-1 to Young Talents 99 Queens on Saturday at the Jalisco football pitch, Oshodi,Lagos.
Ibezim who doubles as founder of Honour Ladies commended his girls for giving their opponents a run for their money but pointed out that lack of communication among his players led to the first half goal.
“It was a good experience and outing for my girls despite the defeat. I started this club not too long ago and we were able to give our opponents a run for their money.We are defensive minded team but we need to work on our midfield and shooting before our next match,”he said.
Ibezim disclosed that he has put the defeat behind him and began to plan for their next match.Honour Ladies would be at home against Ghetto Tiger Ladies in the week two of WAFA League sheduled to hold on Saturday by 4pm.
Asked what he expected from his team in the next match, Ibezim said he expected nothing less than good performance from his girls and charged them to go for victory.
“We were good against Young Talents 99 Queens but i expect better performance from my girls in their next match.We want to win and it can only be possible if the girls raise their game and avoid unnecessary mistakes,”he said.
