Head Coach of Honour Ladies Football Club of Oshodi, Daniel Ibezim has called on the organisers of the ongoing WAFA League to improve on the officiating before it is too late.
Ibezim disclosed this after his team lost 0-3 at home recently in the hands of Ghetto Tigers Queens Football Club in the week two of the WAFA league.
This is second defeats Honour Ladies suffered at Jalisco playground, Oshodi since league started but Ibezim pointed out that bad officiating was responsible for his team’s scandalous defeat at home.
“Bad officiating. Two penalties against my team but we forge ahead and remain professional. My girls played better. At 1-0 down, they wanted to come back but conceding undeserved two penalties that makes a comeback difficult and kills the morale of the players.
“Secondly the match official lost the grip of the game to the extent that our opponents were controlling him during the match on what to do.I think the organisers should look into this match and avoid what happened to us in subsequent league matches,”he said.
Ibezim disclosed that he is not worried about the two defeats saying that their next match would be better.
“I believe we will win the next game as we are going back to our drawing board to work on our lapses. Also we are the underdogs in the league so the pressure is not on us.I am not worried about the defeats. We are not seen as the big dogs so we are not under any form of pressure,”he said.
