Coach of Vido 99 Football Club,Ikechukwu Igwe expressed his disappointment after his team played 1-1 with Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club in a friendly match held on Thursday at the Abalti Barracks sports center, Lagos.
Igwe while commenting on the match boasted that his team played well but deserved a win in the encounter watched by mammoth crowd.
“It was a good match unfortunately we did not win the game.My intention was to beat Prince Kazeem Eletu but at the end of the day they salvaged draw which is very sad for me,”he said.
Asked if he could play his opponents in return leg at the Onikan Stadium,Igwe boasted that Eletu would suffer defeat if they meet again and warned them to prepare for defeat.
In his own remark, Prince Kazeem Eletu coach,Isreal Adegolu commended his boys for good performance saying that the club is still undergoing recruitment ahead of future high profile football competitions.
“I came to this match to assess my players and I saw improvement in the team.I am not bothered about the winning at all cost but I am concerned about the player development,he said.
Meanwhile Obasi Jude scored a superb goal for Eletu boys in the early match of the encounter.
The two teams created many scoring chances in both halves.Justice Agu got equaliser for the homers in the early second half to end the game in stalemate.
