Victoria Queens 3×3 Basketball Tourney Ends Amid Pomp

The Victoria Queens Basketball Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of young girls in Nigeria through basketball, education, entrepreneurship, and personal development.

As part of its annual program, the foundation organized a 3X3 basketball competition, a variant of basketball played with three players per team on a half-court with one backboard.

The event took place at the Joju Mini Stadium in Sango Ota, featuring eight teams: GREEN BACKS, PHOENIX I, TIGRESS SANG, ACES QUEENS, ROYAL, ELITE LADIES, AMAZON, and BROWNIES. The teams were divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group qualifying for the semi-finals and the final match.

In the final game, Team PHOENIX, led by Okon Awele, defeated Team AMAZON to secure the gold-plated trophy. Team TIGRESS finished in third place after winning their match-up for third place. Okon Awele was awarded the Most Valuable Player for her outstanding performance in leading her team to victory.
