Valuejet Pre Season Tourney: Kolade Commends Ikorodu City After Losing Final To Remo Stars

A Lagos based football enthusiast, Dr Kolapo Kolade has commanded a newly premier side, Ikorodu City FC for their impressive performance at the just concluded Valuejet Pre-season tournament held at the Sagamu, Ogun State.

Ikorodu City lost 1-2 to Remo Stars in the final of Valujet pre season tournament which held recently at the Remo Stars stadium, Shagamu, Ogun State.

The Lagos based club performed creditably well in all their matches unfortunately lost to their opponents in an highly entertained final watched by thousand of football fans and football stakeholders.

A premier NPFL match Commissioner who watched the pulsating tie described Ikorodu City a good side and commended the players and coaching crew for their scintillating form displayed throughout the pre season tournament.

“I am not bother about the defeat they suffered in the final but i am highly impressed with the performance of the team from the beginning to the end of the tournament.Ikorodu City are worthy to play in the NPFL next season.

“I strongly believe that they would excel in NPFL with the support of Lagos fans.Their game against Remo Stars were commended and they played well.If they can continue like this, they would fight for continental ticket in the next season,” he said.

Kolade however applauded the organisers of the Valujet pre season tournament for the successful pre season tournament and also commended fans whose their contributions added to to the glamour of the tournament.
