Head Coach of Igando Football Academy, Muhammed Aberejo says having lost five matches in the ongoing U-16 Alimosho Youth League would make his boys stronger and prepare them for future challenges.
Aberejo disclosed this after his team suffered another 6-0 away loss to Kedge Sports Academy in the week five of the the league.
The league match played over the weekend at the Asiriabo playground, Badagry Expressway, Lagos.Igando boys are yet to win or draw a single match since the league started.
Aberejo explained that he paraded the youngest team or players in the league saying that most of his boys just started playing home and away league format for the first time.
He admitted that his boys don’t have league experience which affect their performance in the ongoing league but happy that his boys are gradually adapting to the league and improve in each game.
“I am not disappointed that we have not won a match since league started.Our defeats would make my boys strong and stronger.Although as a coach i may be worried about the result but i am happy with the development of my players,”he said.
Aberejo still remains optimistic that his team would win a match before the league ends and charged his boys to continue give their best in subsequent matches.
In other results, Sammy recorded 3-2 home victory against Ola Stars, Future Stars lost 0-1 to Realms Athletic as group leader, Profoot Academy still maintain its unbeaten run by defeating Divine Stars 2-1 at away.
