This is not the best of time for Sammy Football Academy of Ijegun as the team suffered 7-0 away defeat against table topper, Profoot Football Academy of Igando in the week six of the ongoing U-16 Alimosho Youth League.
The encounter was played over the weekend at the Egan Grammar School, Igando, Alimosho, Lagos.
Sammy who played well in their last two matches were battered by the homers as their hope to be among the top three on the table suffered a big blow.
In other match, IGFC recorded first win after five matches defeat at a row.IGFC beat Divine Stars 2-1 at home over the weekend.IGFC who are rooted on the table recorded their first three points in their week six league matches.
Speaking after the mat h IGFC Coach, Muhammed Aberejo said their victory against Divine Stars was well deserved saying that his boys are making progress in the league.
“Like i said before i parade the youngest team in the league and i am happy that my efforts on them is producing result.
“It was a sweet victory for us because this is the first time we win our match after five matches defeat.I think the boys are gaining confidence now and they would prepare to win their next away match,”he said.
In other matches, Ola Stars thrashed B United 5-3, Samjason walloped Realm Athletic 4-0 as Kedge Sports drew 1-1 with Future Stars.

On Thursday, Samjason would be a guest to Future Stars by 11am at the proposed palace playground, Igando as Realms Athletic host Ola Stars by 11am at the Airforce Base, Shasha.
Actions resume on Friday while Sammy Academy would be at home against IGFC by 4pm at the Ijegun football playground as B United welcome group leader, Profoot by 4pm at the Alaguntan Primary School, Iyana-Ipaja.
