The ongoing U-10 Prince Gas football championship has reached the quarter final stage this afternoon at the the sansan playground, Alimosho Igando, Lagos.
In the quarter final pairing released by the organisers yesterday, Super Accurate battle Sammy FC by 12noon, White Soccer face Sunyun FC by 1:30pm,Horllah FA tackle Sharp Strikers by 3pm as Fathyfu2 confront Imafidon FC by 4pm.
Match coordinator,Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi said the championship kicked off last two weeks in two different centers and commended the teams for abiding the rules governing the tournament.
Asked what are the challenges facing him as organser,. Gbadamosi said he has been sponsoring the tournament in the last six years except Mr fruts company that came recently for support.
“We are facing a lot of challenges, there is no sponsor except the support of Mr fruts company who came to give us their products and I am very grateful for the kind gesture,”he said.
Gbadamosi also implored both federal and state and local governments to always support grassroots football and called on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to build mini stadium in Igando and its environs.
He, however, cautioned the teams playing in the quarter final today to avoid age cheat saying that any team found wanting would be disqualified.
