BY JOSEPH ODOEKWU

Two Super Eagles players, Tolu Arokodare of Racing Genk and Jordan Torunarigha Gent will on Sunday come face-to-face in the Belgian Pro League.

Their meeting is coming immediately after the international break in which Arokodare who is leading scorer in the Belgian League made his debut for the Super Eagles.

Arokodare, who came as substitute in Nigeria’s two World Cup matches against Rwanda and Zimbabwe without scoring a goal in international duty will be looking forward to returning to his scoring ways when his side meet Gent.

On the other hand, Torunarigha who will be manning the defense for his side will also be looking forward to stopping his fellow compatriot from increasing his goal tally at the detriment of his side.

Since making his debut for Nigeria in 2023, Torunarigha is yet to receive his second call-up.

Gent, who are currently at the bottom of the Championship play-off with 23 points, will be looking forward to win and restore their hope of moving upward, while Genk is on top with 34 points.
