The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijanni, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Dr. Aminu Maida have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nokia Solutions and Networks Nigeria to train Nigerian youths on the latest 4G/5G technology at the Nigerian Telecommunications Commission Digital Park.
Nokia Nigeria would establish a fully functional 5G/4G laboratory using its own radio and transmission technologies. Between 97 and 200 Nigerian students were selected from six geopolitical zones.
In addition to the technical training provided at the Digital Parks, Nokia Nigeria will launch an Entrepreneur Learning Program aimed at delivering high-quality vocational training to 200 Nigerian students selected from across the six geopolitical zones.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy’s vision to drive digital literacy and cultivate a pipeline of technical talents nationwide. Dr. Bosun Tijani expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting its potential to significantly enhance the quality of Nigeria’s telecommunications workforce.
