Chairman of Stevetech Electrical Engineering Enterprise, Steven Saturday Akpan and his fiancee, Halimat Abdulazeez are now a married couple.
Saturday, who is currently playing for Catamount Football Club of Lagos got married on 29, April,2023 at the Banilux Event center, Commercial Avenue, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos.
The wedding ceremony was witnessed by families of both couples. Friends and well-wishers were in attendance to rejoice with the latest couple in the town.
As at 3:30 pm, the hall was filled to capacity as groom and his friends were asked to dance to the podium. Steven and his wife who were in white traditional attire gave a good account of themselves in all the activities performed at the traditional wedding and reception proper.
The bride, Halimat, who hails from Kogi state could not hide her feelings. She showed the world how good she is on the dance floor. Surprisingly, Halimat surpassed her bridal train and her husband both at the traditional and the reception.
Halimat, who spoke to our correspondent after the event, expressed gratitude to Allah for the success of the wedding and thanked her parents, family friends and well-wishers for their unalloyed support given her throughout the wedding preparations.
She described her husband as loving, caring and God-fearing. Halimat said she was fulfilled because she married the bone of her bone and thanked him for his unblemished love he has for her since they knew each other.
“Today is my happiest day and i am fulfilled that I married the bone of my bone. Steven is a caring and loving person. He is always there for me and I want to thank him for his care and the love he showed to me. I pray that God would keep our marriage together till dead do us apart, amen,”
In his own comment, Steven thanked his parents, friends and well-wishers who came to rejoice with him, saying that being a married man is a thing of joy and prayed that God should bless the marriage with children.
“What can I say than to thank God for keeping me alive to see today. I am happy and I am excited because I have been praying that God should take over my wedding which it came to pass. My wife, Halimat is my treasure. She is everything to me. Halimat is loving and caring and supportive. May God bless our marriage with children and grandchildren, amen,” he said.
