Former Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia, on Thursday stormed the Jos New Stadium to a rousing welcome by fans to watch Mighty Jets Int’l FC in action against Kano Pillars FC at the ongoing Gusau/Ahlan pre-season tournament.
Recall on Friday last week, the Bayelsa-born football tactitian completed his five-year ban imposed on him by FIFA dated back 2019.
Siasia, who is now a free man could be seen exchanging pleasantries with other dignitaries at the stadium while looking relaxed watching Mighty Jets Int’l FC taking on Kano Pillars amidst recent rumours linking him to the Jos-based team as their next technical adviser.
The former Super Eagles gaffer then granted an interview to the media after Mighty Jets Int’l FC played an entertaining goalless draw with Kano Pillars.
According to Siasia “Mighty Jets played better in the first half, they are young players, they still have a lot to do mostly in the goal scoring aspect,
“Today, they had three clear chances which they should have easily scored but they could not convert any one, we know exactly what is wrong with them, they need to practice more shot at goal during training sessions, their shots were awkward”
Siasia could also be seen sitting next to the Club General Manager, Mbum Ferdinand, as they both watched the game with so much excitement.
The one question that is on the lips of many football fans is “will the rumours linking Samson Siasia to Mighty Jets Int’l FC become a reality?”
