Organisers of the just concluded Seamoriow U-15 League Championship have redeemed the cash promise they made during the press conference of the championship some weeks ago.
B United Football Academy who emerged as champions of the league championship received a sum of N800,000 while Miracle Football Academy, the first runner up yet to receive the sum of N500,000 because of glitches in the club bank account.
Lofty Skills from Ikorodu who emerged as the third place winner received N200,000 from the organisers.
Some outstanding players of the tournament were in attendance with their parents as organisers paid the cash rewards to their parents bank accounts.
Addressing the parents, guardians, players coaches and officials, the cup donor, Oluwaseyi Amos thanked the parents and guardians for releasing their wards during the championship and urged them to use the money paid to their account judiciously.
“Let me congratulate the best three teams of the championship for the job well done. You are with us today to receive your prize money.I must say thanks for you patience and understanding. For the parents of the players who are with us too, we appreciate you for releasing your children to take part in our championship.
“After paying to your account, we admonish you to spend the money Judiciously, especially on the education of your child. The essence of this championship is to ensure that the prize money gets to the players directly especially on their education. Once again, thanks for your coming and wishing you safe journey back to your various destinations,” he said.
Amos quickly saluted the efforts of the organizing committee led by Adedotun Coker and commended the doggedness and resilience of the media for their coverage throughout the championship.
He admitted that this year’s edition was not only recorded as a huge success but better and glamorous than the previous editions.
Some of the parents who spoke to our correspondent after confirming their credit alerts expressed their gratitude to the cup donor for his kind gesture and prayed for his long life and good health.
They promised the cup donor that the money would spend on their child’s education saying that the money came at the time when school just resumed for the new session.
