Seamoriow Fulfils Prize Money Payments To Team, Players

Seamoriow Boys, Others Confirm Prize Money As Organisers Thank Participating Teams After Successful U-15 Seamoriow Football League Championship Final

Organisers of the just concluded U-15 Seamoriow Football League Championship have announced that the best three teams and outstanding players at the just concluded championship have received their prize monies.

Seamoriow Football Academy humbled defending champions, B United 6-1 in the final, while Adhoc FA walloped 36 Lion FA 3-1 to win the third place match.

While receiving their transfer payment on Thursday morning at the conference room of Seamoriow sports complex, the convener of the tournament, Oluwaseyi Amos thanked the participating teams for their commitment to the competition and spirit of sportmaship exhibited during the all matches.

He admitted that the competition had lived up to expectations in terms of organisation, standard of play by the participants and area of security.

Amos who doubles as cup donor also commended the works of resilient members of organising committee led by Dotun Coker for the job well done and also extended his appreciations to the other football stakeholders who contributed immensely to make this year’s edition a memorable one.

He however admonished the cash recipients and teams to spend the money received judiciously and ensure that the players that fully participated should be adequately compensated especially when schools are preparing for resumption.

“I am happy that all the teams and individual awardees had received their credit alert payment but I want to appeal to the outstanding players who received their cash award to show love to their teammates because the success of a player is a collective efforts of other players in the team.

“Coaches or club owners should also be magnanimous enough to his players and management staff and ensure that the money is spent judiciously,”he said.

Speaking in the same vein,chairman of the organising committee, Dotun Coker thanked the cup donor, Amos for his generosity and commitment to the grassroots football development in the state and counselled the coaches, club owners and individual awardees to ensure that the money received should be reflected on the team’s development and players welfare.

Meanwhile Seamoriow FA who emerged as champions received the sum of N3.1million naira, B-united pocketed N1.1 million naira while third position, Adhoc FA went home with the sum of N800,000.
