Samjason Football Club on Monday morning defeated Henzilion Football Club 2-0 to book a place in the round of 48 in the ongoing Rising Star Football League taking place across centers in Badagry, Lagos.
The match which took place at the Ojo Barrack playground saw Samjason scored two goals in the first half to reach the round of 48.
Samjason had the opportunity to increase the scoreline in the second half but Samjason players were not clinical in the front of goal.
Speaking after the match,Samjason Coach, Alfred Unmoke expressed disappointment with the missed chances in the encounter.
“I am happy that we progressed to the round of 48 but I am disappointed the way my boys missed many scoring chances especially in the second half.I need to work on our attack and ensure that we are better in our next game,”he said.
Meanwhile Sammy FC of Ijegun also booked a place in the round of 48 after defeating Divine Blessed 5-4 on penalty shootout following one goal apiece at the regulation time.

Ishashi FC lost 1-2 to Amazing Grace International, Lucky FC thrashed Arich FC as Arising Stars walloped Femo Scorpion FC 3-0.
