As the Rising Stars Football League is drawing nearer, Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) led by Dr Martins Ibegbu Osondu, has concluded plan to organise a seminar for the participants to keep them abreast with the modern day football.
A total of 96 teams are expected to participate in the Rising Stars Football League sheduled to hold next month across five centres in Badagry division.
The seminar would commence from June 7 through 12 at the BDFA secretariat located at the KM 154 Road Badagry Expressway off Church Bus Stop After Okokomaiko, Lagos.
Osondu told our correspondent on Thursday that the seminar is necessary for the participating teams noted that there are some new development in football nowadays which coaches and other football stakeholders should be aware of.
He said some resource persons have been contacted to do justice to the topics before them and urged the club owners, coaches and managers to be in attendance throughout the seminar.
“We are planning to organise seminar for all the teams before the league starts.Actually we cannot start a league without a seminar because there are a lot of development in football nowadays so we have informed the participating teams concerning the seminar and they are happy to be in attendance,”he said.
Among the resource persons are Dele Atoun, Secretary of Nigeria Refrees Association, Lagos Chapter.He would be talking on Laws of The Game.
Others are Hakeem Busari, Peter Okereke and host of others would be talking on various aspects of football management, marketing and branding.
