Registration is still in progress for Jameria Harmony Football Tournament which begins on October at the Harmony football field, Ipaja, Alimosho, Lagos.
Addressing the journalists and the organising committee members recently, the tournament coordinator, Olumide Ajayi disclosed that the registration forms for the free age tournament is in progress saying that only 16 teams would be accommodated to feature in the biannual competition.
“Clubs are expected to come for their registration form now.Intrested club owners are expected to pay sum of N40,000 for registration fees and let me say presently some clubs are showing interest but we still need teams from within and outside Ipaja axis,”he said.
He explained that Harmony Cup is fully sponsored by Tharmm Equest, UK number one Black Entertainment Company.
He reminded the registered teams that the competition is a platform for youth empowerment,skill development and cross cultural unity.
“By nurturing local talents and offering them professional exposure,the tournament plays a crucial role in showcasing the potential of Nigeria’s grassroots football scene to the world,”he said.
In his own remark, a football coach and consultant,Abiodun Akinwusi said the competition would be well organised and urged coaches and players to be a good ambassador of their clubs during the competition.
He however assured good officiating throughout the competition saying that any match official fail to live up to expections would be sanctioned accordingly
