Head Coach of Balo Football Club, Samson Agbalaya has taken a blame for his team defeat in the ongoing Iyk Madu Ramadan football competition.
Balo suffered 1-3 defeat against Great Feet FC on Wednesday at Igando playground, Alimosho, Lagos.
Agbalaya after the match said his boys were off day and admitted that their opponents were better to have won the game.
“It was not a good match for me because my players did not play to my expectations.Secondly i observed that most of my players were not in good form so i take the blame for our defeat and go back home and correct our mistakes before our next match,”he said.
Great Feet Coach, Seun Mathew expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance boasting that his team gave what it takes to go far in the tournament.
“We won today because we played good fooball and i am happy that my boys are in good form.If we can continue like this,we can go all the way to final,”he said.
Palemo Seyi opened the goal account in the 18th minutes before Julius Joshua score the second goal for Great Feet.
The second half was very tough for both side but Taofeek Kashimawo make life miserable for Balo after scoring third goal in the middle of the second half.
Balo who were not at their best got consolatory goal in added time through Lekan Muraino to end the game 3-1 in favour of Great Feet.
Meanwhile, Dortmund Football Club have written a letter of protest to organisers allegedly accused K Property for using ineligible player against them when both teams clash recently.
The chairman organising committee, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi confirmed the protest letter, saying that the disciplinary committee would take a final decision on it this evening.
“I have received a letter of protest from Dortmund FC alleging that their opponents, K Property used unregistered player. I would invite the two clubs involved and other members of the disciplinary committee to look into the matter and take a final decision before today runs out,”he said.
Action continue today as Imafidon Future Stars face Future Stars, Future Stars feeders battle Emerald in the second match of the day.
In Ogun center, Clever Olutunu defeated Eleven wonders 3-0 as Desholly FC played 0-0 with Zifa Academy.
