Prince Kazeem Eletu Win Over Ajunwa Excites Coach, Manager

Coach of Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club of Lagos, Isreal Adegolu has commended his boys for their resilience and fighting spirit exhibited against Ajunwa FC in a recent friendly match held at Nathaniel Idowu pitch, Ajegunle, Lagos.

The friendly match saw Eletu boys defeat Ajunwa FC 2-1 in an encounter highly entertaining.

Daniel Favour quickly scored for Eletu in the early game before Owolabi Opakunle cancelled the goal deficit in the 18th minute.

The encounter was tactical as both teams made several goal attempts before Sunday James scored the winning goal in the 23rd minute.

The second half did not witness any goal but the homers, Ajunwa made some scary moments while looking for an equalizer. The Eletu defenders were at their best as they did everything to curtail opponents’ forwards till full-time.

Adegolu while speaking to our correspondent hailed his players for their doggedness and thanked them for the hard-fought victory.

“We had a better game against Ajunwa and my boys played to instructions.I must say we are making progress and the boys are beginning to wake up from their slumbers. This victory was well deserved and it would make them improve in their next game,” he said.

In his response, the general manager of the Eletu FC, Muftau Eletu confessed that the players raised their game, especially in the first half and got deserved victory.

“I am happy for this victory because we never won our opponents in the past meetings. Winning them at their home ground today confirmed that our boys are making progress so I congratulate them for this hard-fought victory and I expect a better outing in their next match,” he said.

Ajunwa Coach, Idowu Akinbote congratulated his opponents for their impressive performance and commended his boys for their brilliant efforts throughout the pulsating tie.

“Both teams played well but our opponents carried the day. Prince Kazeem Eletu never won us before and I am not disappointed with the defeat rather it is a wake-up call for me and my players to work on our weaknesses before our next friendly game,”he said.
