Only the players who are within 15 through 17 years old are expected to participate in the trials.Any player who is aboved stipulated age would not be allowed to join the trials.
Speaking on behalf of club chairman, team manager, Eletu Muftau said taking trials outside Lagos is to give other young players who stay outside the state an opportunity to showcase their talents and secondly a way of expanding the club fans base to other part of southwest states.
“This is the first time we are taking our open trials outside Lagos. The management decided to do that because we want to expand our club to other part of southwest states and give ample opportunity to the young players who stay outside Lagos to enjoy our trials.
“The management believes that having players from various states would make the the club formidable and strong.Honestly we have received numbers of entries who are interested within Lagos and outside so we are expecting them to join us when we start by next week,”he said.
Muftau further revealed that the fortunes of the club need to come alive again hence the need for trials to hold in outside Lagos to fortify the team ahead of high profile competitions such as league, friendly matches and scouting football tournaments in the new season.
“We need to overhaul the team and we need to come back strong and better ahead of new season. We have players but there is urgent need to overhaul and fortify the team so that we can prepare well for high profile matches in the new season,”he said.
Muftau reminded those interested players and academies that are coming for trials to get accomodation and feed their players saying that Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club has no plans for accommodation or feeding for players during the trials.
