The 10th edition of U-15 and free age of Prince Gas football tournament ended recently in Lagos.
Although the competition which kicked off three weeks ago was sponsored by a football enthusiast, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi.
In the finals played at the Sansan football pitch, Igando, Royal Warriors defeated Young Tiger 1-0 to win the U-15 category, while Bucknor emerged winner in free age category after defeating Future Stars 99 3-1 on penalties following the three all draw at the regulation time.
At the presentation award of U-15 category,Olorunfemi Moroof of Royal Warriors won best coach of the tournament.Samod Razak of Royal warriors won the most valuable player as Love Taiwo of Royal Warriors claimed highest goal scorer award.
In free age category, Coach Idowu Omotosho of Bucknor won Best coach of the competition.Toheeb Oloyede of Future Stars 99 won most valuable player as best goalkeeper went to Divine Darlington of Bucknor.
Prize money were given to the two finalists in their various categories while outstanding players also rewarded for their job well done.
The tournament cordinator, Gbadamosi said the competition was organised and sponsored by himself as part of his contribution to the football development in Igando and Alimosho at large.
He expressed gratitude to the teams for their commitment to the competition and promised that the year 2024 would be better organised.
