Premier Skills Football Club of Agege over the weekend humbled Super Accurate Football Club of Ikotun 3-0 in the final of Prince Gas Football Tournament.
The pulsating tie held at the Sansan playground Igando, Alimosho, Lagos saw Agege boys dominated the encounter which gave them deserved victory over their opponents.
Umar Tanko got the first goal in the 28th minutes to take an early lead.Okon David also converted penalty kick in the 30th minutes to add more pains on Super Accurate who were not impressive in the encounter.
The second half was tensed match as Super Accurate were looking for goal but a goal from Tanko in the 56th minutes was Premier Skills needed to make it three goals thrillers.
Super Accurate Coach, Idris Oseni expressed sadness over his players poor form and congratulated his opponents for the hard fought victory.
“It was not our day because my boys disappointed our fans.We came here to win but we met a solid and more determined team that outplayed us throughout the game,”he said.
In his own comment, Premier Skills Coach, Michael Adepoju boasted that they were better and deserved the victory.
He commended his boys doggedness and determination exhibited throughout the encounter and thanked the organisers for giving them the opportunity to feature in this year’s edition.
Match coordinator, Prince Sulaiman Gbadamosi expressed gratitude to God for the success of the competition and congratulated the champions for the job well done.
During the award presentation, Highest Goal scorer went to Usman Lawal (five goals) from Wolves.
Best coach was given to Premier Skills Coach, Adepoju.Best goalkeeper went to Ganiu Taofeek from Premier Skills.
While Quam Olanrewaju was adjuged as youngest best player of Super Accurate as Nofiu Bello from Super Accurate won well behaved captain award.
